Schools

We work closely with St George’s C of E School, our local Church of England primary school. Clergy and Open The Book teams lead weekly assemblies in the school. The church building hosts school concerts, services and visits. Members of the church congregation serve as school governors. The school recently received another Outstanding SIAMS report.

Members of our congregation are involved in Open the Book, which leads assemblies in schools across Barrow.

Clergy also visit Newbarns Primary School, Roose Community Primary School and Yarlside Academy.

We are delighted to host visits from schools.
