South Barrow Team Ministry
part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Carlisle
The real Church in South Barrow is not the church buildings, but a growing number of people of various ages and backgrounds whose faith and trust is in Jesus Christ, and we worship Him wherever we are, in all that we do.

About The South Barrow Team Ministry
We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Carlisle, and have two main places of worship, St. Georges Church and St. Aidan's Church. Our regular Sunday services are Holy Communion from Common Worship, with a mixture of traditional hymns and modern songs.
Our mission, commitment and purpose is to reach out to the community in which we live and work, to offer friendship, support and spiritual help where it is needed, and to teach about God, His love for the world and the new life that comes with following Jesus.
The message and significance of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection is at the heart of all we do – it is the message of life and hope with which we long to reach our community.
What We Believe
Love Jesus
The core of Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. He is central to all that we do as Christians. Our lives should give expression to our faith in Him, as we listen to His teaching, pray in His name, serve Him in every aspect of our lives, trusting in His life giving death and resurrection.
Teach the Bible
We believe that God speaks to us with clarity and life-changing power through the Bible - through the Bible, we can know God and be equipped to serve Him. His Spirit changes us through His Word, applying it to our hearts and lives.
Share the gospel
Christians are called to proclaim the gospel of Jesus to those around them - we recognise that God has put us in our communities in South Barrow for this purpose.
Love Barrow
Christian communities need to model to the world all the fullness and richness of what living under the lordship of Jesus looks like. It should also be seen as we engage with the social, economic and welfare needs and opportunities in Barrow, seeking the well-being of people in our local communities, as we serve them in practical ways.
